Self-Care Sundays

Happy Sunday guys! 🙂

On Sundays, I like to spend my day relaxing, writing in my planner, start planning for the upcoming week, have a little me time, praying time, and enjoy some quality time with my family. After a long week and weekend, it just helps me get prepared for the week ahead. As moms, we all get a little burnt out and stressed so it’s so important to focus on our own mental and physical health especially during those times.

One of my goals for 2018 was to start taking better care of myself mentally, physically, and spiritually. Ladies, I can’t stress how important it is to make time for yourself. You can become soo overwhelmed if you don’t. I’ve been there just overwhelmed with so much not having time for myself or making time for things that I enjoyed doing. I definitely put an end to that for 2018. It makes me feel so good to have a little me time at the end of every night after putting the kids to bed to watch a movie/tv show, or some youtube videos. I spend at least one day during the week which is normally Sundays to have a little pampering at home spa day where I will enjoy a nice hot bath and do a face mask.

My skin is oily and I get blemishes and bumps periodically I also struggle with dark spots.  I’m actually working on my skincare routine right now but this face mask has been helping my skin tremendously. My face feels so soft and refreshed after. The mask, once you apply it and starts to dry, can become very TIGHT and a little painful but I don’t know that makes me feel like it’s working really good. Lol! You will feel your face pulsating this is the “world’s most powerful facial” as it states. I notice that my face does become slightly red once I wash off the mask but it goes away after awhile. Another reason I love this mask is that you get so much of it. It’s a 1lb bulk of powder, it states on the label that it makes 10-15 facials but I feel the way I’ve been using it will make so much more.

Here are some of the products I use for the face mask that I am loving so far.

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay + Apple Cider Vinegar

I mix equal parts of the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay and the Apple Cider Vinegar (you can use water but I prefer mixing it with the Apple Cider Vinegar) using this cute DIY mask kit that I purchased from Amazon. (It comes in handy if you like mixing your own masks.)

If you would like to try out this mask and interested in purchasing these items check out the links below. All products were purchased by me. *These links are affiliate links. All opinions are my own and honest of course! :)*

  1. Thanks for sharing, I agree self care is so important. I normally use DIY face masks but this mask on your blog looks very good as well. I’ll have to give it a try.

  2. Self care is so important! I’ve been trying to make sure I meet my needs a lot more than the past. Even if it means waking up at 5 am to get some alone time before the kids get up. It makes my day so much better.

    1. Your welcome. Yes definitely try it they say it’s best to use water if you have sensitive skin. I like it with the Apple cider vinegar of course the smell is so strong lol but it works for me.

  3. I’ve actually heard great things about this exact mask, but saw reviews not to use if you have sensitive skin. I am glad to hear it is working well for you!

  4. Sunday nights are usually spent with my husband watching some tv after our son is asleep! We like to unwind together before the next week starts up again.

  5. Love that face mask idea! I also like to stay up to watch a tv show or relax after the baby is in bed. Even if I’m tired, I feel like I need that “me” time!

  6. Ugh, today was one of those days where I felt like I had no time to myself. I kept trying to get it, but it just never came! Hence why I’m up at 1:45am catching up on my reading 🙂 I agree though, self-care is so important. This has been on my list for the year as well, and I’m slowly getting better at it. I have a ton of masks, but I have yet to use them. This one sounds great though!
